Working together.

Do you only work in these cities?

No. I'm based in Burlington and spend most of my time in Halton, Hamilton, Niagara West and Durham, but I'm licensed across Ontario and work with clients anywhere in the province by phone or video.

What's the difference between a mortgage agent and a mortgage broker?

Both are licensed by FSRA. A Level 1 mortgage agent like me deals with borrowers and lenders on behalf of a licensed brokerage, in my case Mortgage Financial Corporation (FSRA #10421). Day to day the service is the same: I compare lenders for you and manage the file from application to funding.

Does it cost anything to use you?

For most standard mortgages the lender pays my compensation when your mortgage funds. Some alternative or private mortgages carry a fee. If one applies I'll tell you in writing before you commit.

Do we need to meet in person?

Not unless you want to. Most clients do everything by phone and video, and documents are signed electronically. I'm happy to meet in Burlington or nearby if you'd rather sit down.
