Renewal Radar

Never sign a renewal blind again.

Most people find out about their renewal from the letter, with only a few weeks to decide. Set your date once and I'll remind you when it's time to compare.

Rough numbers only. This is a calculator for planning, not an approval or advice. Rates shown are examples you can change. Nothing you type is saved unless you choose to email it to yourself.

Your renewal timeline

Rough numbers for planning only. This isn't an approval, a quote, an offer or advice. Example rates are for the math and aren't rates we're offering. Your lender's policies, your credit and the property change the real answer.

    How to use it

    Three steps.

    Add your renewal date

It's on your annual statement or in your lender's online banking. A rough month is fine.

    Get your timeline

You'll see when to start shopping, when to lock a rate hold and when your letter should land.

    Get reminded

I'll email you as each date comes up, and you can add the dates to your own calendar too.

    What the numbers mean

    Worth knowing.

    The 120-day window

Many lenders will hold a rate for roughly 120 days. Starting around then gives you time to compare offers without rushing.

    The 21-day letter

Federally regulated lenders have to send your renewal statement at least 21 days before your term ends. If you wait for it, you've lost most of your time to compare.

    No obligation

This is a reminder, nothing more. When it fires, you can renew with your lender, switch, or ask me to compare. Unsubscribe anytime.

    FAQ

    Good questions.

Where do I find my mortgage renewal date?

It's on your annual mortgage statement and usually in your lender's online banking under your mortgage details. It's also called the maturity date or the end of your term.

How early can I renew my mortgage?

Many lenders let you renew early, often within about 120 days of maturity, without a penalty. Renewing earlier than that can count as breaking your mortgage. Check your lender's rules.

    Will you sell my information?

No. Your date and email are used only to send your reminders and, if you ask, to compare your renewal. You can unsubscribe from any reminder.

What happens if I miss my renewal date?

Many lenders will automatically renew you, sometimes into a short term or at a rate you haven't compared. Setting a reminder well ahead means you choose instead.

    Want the real number?

These are rough numbers. I can run your actual file against real lender criteria, and checking your options won't touch your credit.
